When we think about Christmas, the first thing that often comes to mind is Santa and all the gifts under the tree. But this is just a small aspect of the holiday that stems from the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is about spending time with the people you love, enjoying each other’s company, and being thankful for what you have.
However, not everyone is as lucky. 610,042 people will be homeless in the United States for Christmas Day. 6,876,600 men & 7,607,230 women are currently battling cancer in United States. 50% of Americans worry they can’t afford presents under their tree this year.
This Christmas we should all take a moment as we rip open our presents to be grateful for who we get to share the holidays with, our health that allows us to be apart of the celebrations, and the roof over our heads.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
